Sunrise (bright, beautiful golden tan). 5.5 oz weight is approximately 3/32" thick. Smooth finish. Heavily waxed and oil-tanned for protection against sun and salt exposure. Medium temper combines excellent strength with supple handling.
Ideal for traditional marine applications including chafe protection on mooring lines, oar leathers, boom gallows, tiller wraps, wheel wraps, etc. Also makes great bag bottoms and leather reinforcement patches for all types of sail making and canvas work.
Available by the square foot or Full Hide. Our Full Hides are guaranteed to be a minimum of 22+ square feet. Exact shape will vary from hide to hide (depending on the shape of the cow!).

Great Expectations
I only needed enough to cover the main and mizzen boom gallows but splurged on a whole hide for use elsewhere on the boat and future projects down the road.
