The classic Nantucket Sailor's Bracelet is handmade using pure hemp yacht-rigging rope, which is quite handsome and a lot more rugged than cotton! It is a continuous weave, slip-on type bracelet that is traditionally worn throughout the entire sailing season.
We construct it using what's called a 3-Lead, 10-Bight Turk's Head Knot, which is doubled three times, pulled to the correct size, and then parallel bound with 4 Constrictor Knots using waxed sailmaker's twine. So unlike similar bracelets, the Nantucket can never come untied, and comes with a 5-year warranty!
Slip-on Sizing:
To ensure the correct size, you'll need a cloth measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler). Measure all the way around the thickest part of your hand, with your thumb squeezed tightly into your palm as shown:
*For best results, be sure to measure the same hand you are planning to wear your bracelet on (left or right). If you're not sure, just measure both hands and go with the larger dimension.

LOVE MY BRACELET!
I followed the instructions on their website to measure the size bracelet I needed and it fits perfectly. I have had it less than a week and already worn it quite a bit. I purchased the heaving line with monkey fist, Capt. Currey deckhand knife(for my wife), 2 piece rigging knife (for me) and the Ashley's Sailors bracelet. I am on search and rescue at the great salt lake and use my heaving line quite a bit. Great quality and is holding up great with the salty abuse. We use our knifes and marlin spikes every time we go sailing or work on our boat! They are both holding an edge and are easy to sharpen. If you are thinking about or have a puppy you need to get one of their bracelets. Out puppy quit chewing on me and started chewing on my bracelet. I wear this bracelet everyday. My friend ordered a one of their bracelets and had to unwind it to tie down his tent in a wind storm in the uintas mountains. M&B is great to work with and I highly recomend them and their products!!

I purchased this bracelet to replace one that was made out of cotton and wore out after a year. The quality strength and comfort of this bracelet is Excellent and I would definitely purchase it again when it wears out in 10 years.
