Formerly known as the "MC-1" dating back to WW2, M-724 is the current issue and perhaps the most widely recognized switchblade knife in the world. It is still in use by US military pilots, paratroopers and rescue crews, as well as NATO forces around the world.
Features a razor-sharp, specially hardened #440A stainless steel blade (pushbutton, automatic) with 2-way safety lock, plus a separate shroud/belt cutter.

COMMENTS:
The M-724 Switchblade is extremely sharp right out of the package. The push-button blade action is what we call "tight and right," yielding instant response with a firm snap, no wobble or play. The 2-way safety lock can be engaged to prevent accidental opening or closure.
The hook-shaped "shroud cutter" slices through paracord (shrouds) for emergency ditch or rescue ops... plus it cuts through all kinds of webbing, straps, belts, harnesses, canvas or clothing without risk of puncture or injury.
M-724 makes a fine everyday carry (EDC) or safety knife aboard the ship, with non-corrosive materials and super fast, one-handed operation. It can be packed into the life raft, first aid kit, etc... or worn on the belt or harness.
